CYTE Warranty Policy
<Warranty Period for products purchased in the year of 2017 and after>
3 Years Warranty Products:
-Nuvis DVR/NVR/IP cameras
2 Years Warranty Products:
-TVI, Analog, and HD SDI cameras
-Dlight/ Neo/Edge IP cameras, Analog Cameras, UNV products, HDDs
1 Year Warranty Products:
-Ubiquiti Products
-All other items.
<Warranty Period for products purchased before the year of 2017 >
2 Years Warranty Products:
-all DVR /NVR
-all security cameras
-All Planet product(Network switches, Wireless Access point , etc)
1 Year Warranty Products:
-All other items.
<30 Day Trial Period>
CYTE offers a 30 day trail period where products can be returned within 30 days of the purchase date. No re-stocking if product is returned in like-new condition with all accessories and literature attached. Any items missing and/or product damage will result in restocking fee that will be assessed.
<Replacement Units>
CYTE also offers replacements (in-advance) for the first 30 days after purchase. This covers DOA (Dead on Arrival) and defective items. Any defective products after the 30 days, products are required to be returned to CYTE first for analysis. Replacement products will be issued after an inspection on the defective item.
Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) numbers are required for any returns, exchanges, and warranty repairs.
All warranty and out of warranty items should be shipped with the correct RMA number that is issued by CYTE. Any returned products for service, returns, etc. should be shipped with insurance. You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with the return of the defective products for the warranty service.
CYTE warrants products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, normal wear and tear excepted, for time listed below from the ship date of the product tracked by serial number of the product. Except as required by law, this limited warranty is only made to the buyer and is not transferable to any third party.
Warranty is not applicable if:
(A) The product is improperly installed, applied or maintained;
(B) The product’s serial number is not valid or visible.
(C) The product is Installed outside of stated operating parameters, altered or improperly serviced or repaired by anyone other than the Seller/Seller’s Authorized Service/Repair Center.
(D) Damage to the product is caused by outside natural occurrences, such as lightning, power surges, fire, floods, and acts of nature.
(E) The product has defects resulting from unauthorized modification, misuse, vandalism, alterations of serial numbers, other causes unrelated to defective materials or workmanship, or failures related to batteries of any type used in connection with the products sold here
<Limitations of Liability>
This warranty is provided to you in lieu of all other express or implied warranties including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose for our products, which CYTE disclaims under these terms. However, if applicable law requires any of these warranties, then they are limited in duration to the warranty period.
Except as expressly stated above, CYTE excludes all liability for loss of data, loss of profit, or any loss or damage suffered by you or from any third party, whether those damages are direct, indirect, consequential, special or incidental and however arising under any theory of law, as a result from using our products. The exclusive remedy of dealer stated in this agreement is in lieu of all liabilities for damages or other relief concerning any matter arising out of this agreement. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, so these limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
<Indemnification>
Dealer shall indemnify and hold seller harmless from any loss or damage to persons or property based upon use, possession or operation of the product by dealer or its customers and shall indemnify seller from any expense or cost incurred, including court costs, or associated attorney’s fees, if any such claims were made.
