Posted: December 21st, 2015, 5:01 pm
This the the API command in order to stream IP camera. There are two API commands below. One for JPEG (still image) and one for MJPEG (movie)
JPEG image (it only shows one still image)
http://192.168.1.30/cgi-bin/image/jpeg. ... sswd=admin
MJPEG image (it shows continuous image just like live)
http://192.168.1.30/cgi-bin/images.cgi? ... efresh=100
Note
- JPEG / MJPEG uses 2nd Input (default 640 x 320) so if 2nd stream is not enabled, you can't use this feature. 1st Input will be supported soon.
- For MJEPG streaming, if one of user's network speed is slow while other people access camera, it may be possible to affect all user's connections (going to slow) due to slow network speed of one user
Step by Step
1. Log into your camera through Internet Explorer and visit the Stream Tab.
2. Enable your “Stream 2”
3. Visit your System Tab and select Web Port
4. Change your Web port number to a port that is not used on the network, the default is 80.
5. Select Date & Time and adjust the settings for your location, otherwise the Date & Time that will appear in the top left hand corner of the camera will be wrong.
6. Save your changes and restart the camera.
7. Enter your router and forward the web port for your camera.
8. Take this link “http://255.255.255.255:80/cgi-bin/images.cgi?id=admin&passwd=admin&refresh=10&finish=10” and edit each section as explained below to fit your specific camera.
-----a. [http://255.255.255.255:80] = The external IP Address of your location.
-----b. [http://255.255.255.255:80] = The Web Port of the Camera
-----c. [/cgi-bin/images.cgi?id=admin&passwd=admin&refresh=10&finish=10] = Username/ID of your camera to log into it. Replace admin with whatever username you use for the camera.
-----d. [/cgi-bin/images.cgi?id=admin&passwd=admin&refresh=10&finish=10] = Password of your camera to log into it. Replace admin with whatever password you use for the camera.
-----e. [/cgi-bin/images.cgi?id=admin&passwd=admin&refresh=10&finish=10] = Refresh is how often the image refreshes on the website while being viewed. a higher value means slower, while a lower value means faster. The lower the value the higher the bandwidth usage.
-----f. [/cgi-bin/images.cgi?id=admin&passwd=admin&refresh=10&finish=10] = Finish is how many minutes until the footage is cut off. After 10 minutes the footage will cancel and the page will need to be refreshed to view the camera.
9.When you put that new link into your URL bar of your web browser, you will get the video stream of your camera.
